Welcome to Sydney's traditional jazz scene...live jazz in Sydney......Club Ashfield is the venue and with its long residency, The Bridge City Jazz Band is the band....a nominal 4 piece we have three special guests each Friday taking the band up to a 7 piece swinging trad.jazz band...and this coming Friday 7th November 2014...we've top New Orleans trumpeter Geoff Bull leading the band with Gary Walford on piano, Gary Kohrmann on double bass and Joel Davis on drums....

Geoff Bull has run New Orleans oriented jazz bands for such a long time now he's a legend in the scene and we're always happy to have him lead the Bridge City Jazz Band at Club Ashfield. He's doing same this coming Friday 7th November 2014 with Gary Walford again on the Club's grand piano for us and Joel Davis on drums...our regular bass player is a away for the week so Gary Kohrmann will fit in well...this leaves the regular trio of the band to complement them. John Bates on trombone/vocals, Colin Beal on alto sax and clarinet and myself, Dennis Quinlan on banjo...
Be a swinging night for sure...........
