Live traditional Jazz in Sydney...Live Jazz!!!..Kym Till leads the Bridge City Jazz band at Club Ashfield this coming Friday, 01.03.2013.....

Good to have Kym Till playing trumpet lead with the Bridge City Jazz Band this coming Friday, 1st March at Club Ashfield.....
Up in the first floor bistro/function area, 5 Charlotte Street, Ashfield beside the Ashfield Railway Station, commencing 7.30pm to 10.30pm....great bistro food and drinks at Club prices....
On piano is Frank Watts with Jim Morrell on drums.....
The rest of the band are all there....myself, Dennis Quinlan on banjo, Colin Beal on reeds, John Bates on trombone and vocals and Colin Davies on double bass....

Traditional Jazz in Sydney...Live Jazz!!! This coming Friday at Club Ashfield, the boogie-woogie Queen, Carolyn Packer will "smoke" the ivories and teams up with Bill Dudley and Chris Gentle as the guests of the Bridge City Jazz Band....

I like to team Bill Dudley...trumpet/vocals with the boogie-woogie Queen, Carolyn Packer when I can and this coming Friday, 22nd February 2013 together with drummer Chris Gentle forms a formidable front line to add to the Bridge City Jazz Band regulars, Colin Davies on double bass, Colin Beal on reeds, John Bates on trombone/vocals and myself Dennis Quinlan on banjo....
Talk about "smoke the ivories" of Club Ashfield's grand piano.....

LIVE JAZZ in SYDNEY, traditional Jazz in Sydney...Club Ashfield the home of traditional Jazz with the Bridge City Jazz Band and special guests...this coming Friday sees multi instrumental reed player Paul Furniss lead the band......

Paul Furniss takes the leaders chair for the Bridge City Jazz band...a great soprano saxophone  player with a worldwide reputation, he'll have alto sax and clarinet with him for sure....Frank Watts is down from the Central Coast playing the Club's grand piano and Chris Gentle is on the drum seat...together with the rest of the Bridge City Jazz Band personnel...John Bates on trombone/vocals, Colin Davies on double bass, Colin Beal on alto sax and clarinet and myself Dennis Quinlan on banjo it will, as usual, be a great swinging night....

Traditional Jazz, Live Jazz in Sydney...The Bridge City Jazz Band are running a big birthday bash this coming Friday 8th February 2013 at Club Ashfield...our special guest band leader for the night, Geoff Power is celebrating his 50th birthday and we intend to do it with him in style....Peter Locke is on piano and Lawrie Thompson on drums...

This is the first special birthday we've celebrated for a favourite trumpet play of the band...Geoff Power..
He's cracked 50....
And we've hired a favourite piano player of his...Lockie...Peter Locke and with the super smooth drummer Lawrie Thompson in the drum chair, the night will "swing like a dunny door in a southerly..."
The rest of the band...John Bates on trombone, Colin Beal on reeds, Colin Davies on double bass and myself Dennis Quinlan on banjo will start the night off...
We'll have selected sit-in's from musos we know, a giant birthday cake to cut and a giant birthday card for those present to write nice things about Geoff....
