Welcome to Sydney's traditional jazz scene...live jazz in Sydney......Club Ashfield is the venue and with its long residency, The Bridge City Jazz Band is the band....a nominal 4 piece we have four special guests each Friday taking the band up to a 7 piece swinging trad.jazz band...and this coming Friday the 25th November leading the band on trumpet is Al Davey, who you'll recall played trombone for us last week...on trombone is Mike Hallam with Monique Lysiak on piano and Joel Davis on drums....

Al Davey is a great multi instrumentalist and while playing trombone for us last week, leads the Bridge City Jazz Band at Club Ashfield this Friday 25th November 2016 on trumpet.....
Mike Hallam is on trombone and he also plays trumpet for us, so may be some swapping on the night..."Unique" Monique Lysiak is on the Club's grand piano with "Mr Smoothie", Joel Davis on the bands drum kit...coupling with the Bridge City JB regulars Colin Beal on reeds, Colin Davies on double bass and myself, Dennis Quinlan on banjo to give you great traditional jazz music for listening and dancing to....

Future special guests with the Bridge City Jazz Band at Club Ashfield and other BCJB future gigs...

Club Ashfield is at 1-11 Charlotte Street, Ashfield beside the Ashfield Railway station on the northern side and the gig is up on the first floor in the bistro/Charlotte Room function area from 7.30pm to 10.30pm with the restaurant serving nice food until 9pm.....I always eat there on Jazz nights....

Best of all the admission is FREE....
