Can now confirm we've a "wake" to play for the late John Bates... Sat. afternoon 8th July 2017 at Club Ashfield.....from 12noon in the first floor Charlotte Room where The Bridge City JB plays....John's partner Brenda Potter and her family with Esther and Becce are coming up from Melbourne. We've a few planned sets then musos there will be invited to play in groups and to toast there friendship with John over all those years...perhaps with a "Tooheys Old", John's favourite beer...
